"Now bring us some figgy pudding"


The bright penny is left  amongst the crumbs of the pudding in this Dickensian Christmas - Great Expectations, which I'm gradually reading, undoubtedly played its role in this soon to be Christmas card. The thumbnail above may look a little blurred, this is due to some experimentation with a toy theatre style technique, take a look at the image at full size and all will be well.

Dennis Severs' House from memory


A quick sketch from memory of the opulent feast to be found in "The Eating Parlour" of Dennis Severs' House. In no way does this capture the richness of the setting. It's well worth a visit to this remarkable house, which charts in ten rooms the waining fortunes of the Jervis family of silk weavers (not recommended on an empty stomach).
