I'm working on my own comic and I wanted to try ink wash for my gray tones.
I've used pencils with meh results and COPICS I liked a lot but very expensive.
I looked at Paul Felix pencil art *** http://unofficialpaulfelix.blogspot.com/ *** for inspiration but he's just too brilliantly meticulous for my skill level and time constraints.
So I googled ink wash comic and a piece of yours led me to this blog. I know this is an old post, but I'm looking through your stuff from the beginning, so I'm commenting way back here.
Anyway, when I googled ink wash comic, what came up was a mix of less competent ink wash images and the opposite - hyper detailed/realistic, very carefully correctly lit, subtle light to dark pieces which are for me - no fun at all.
One of your pics stood out as something I'd definitely like to emulate. I dig that you only use a few main tones with expressive brushwork. It's almost cell animation-ish with the lively watercolor roughness of inkwash.
I like this a lot and I'm totally going to steal this ink wash approach from you. I'd just like to thank you for the inspiration.

And needless to say, I dig your art.
